Why Article Marketing Is The Easy Way to Boost Any Websites Traffic & SEO - By: Warren Little
Are you searching for a cost-effective way to advertise your business online? If so , you need to know that article marketing is a great way to generate highly targeted traffic to your website.
Are you looking for a cost effective way to boost your company´s search engine & page ranking? Do you have a well-designed website that nobody visits? If so, then you need to work on search engine optimization (SEO) & increasing highly targeted traffic to your site. The most beautiful & marketing-oriented website won´t help your bottom line if no one ever looks at it.
There's lots of different web marketing techniques & strategies, some of which are more effective than others. Article marketing is one of the most effective & affordable ways to generate lots of highly targeted traffic to your website & boost its positioning in the search engine rankings.
So How Does Article Marketing Really Work?
Article marketing involves creating unique articles related to your business or area of expertise, & allowing other people to publish them at no cost on their blogs or websites. Each of your articles should have a brief "about the author" box that includes the URL for your website's url.(Here's a geat example of how this should look). As a condition of being allowed to re-print your articles, publishers must leave in this resource box.
To make it easy for blog owners & publishers to find your articles, you´ll need to publish them to various online article directories that specialize in displaying free reprint articles. Webmasters, ezine publishers, magazine editors, & others seeking fresh and unique content for their own online & print publications frequent these sites looking for well created articles that will draw visitors to their own websites.
The articles you generate should not be direct sales or news releases about your business, that type of article marketing is called a press release. The articles you submit to the article directories should be about useful & interesting topics that will benefit readers in your target market. Creating articles that people will want & need to read increases your chances that publishes will use them & that potential customers will be interested in them.
So What Are The Benefits of Effective Article Marketing?
If the articles you write (or learn how to outsource your article writing to profesional writers for mere pennies ) for marketing purposes are well written, interesting, & have compelling information about your online website business along with a link to your web-site, it´s likely ...
You will get lots of high quality backlinks to your online business , get 1st page positions on Google & the other search engines & experience massive profits.
[Authors note] A Few Hundred Bucks a Week - Everybody wants to make millions online. But would you settle for $300 to $500 a week? You set up your business once. Then it's fully automated. You look in your bank account, and the money is there. That's a car payment... your rent or mortgage... whatever you want, taken care of.

Why Traditional Article Marketing Should Be Dead! - By: Eric Gruber
Article marketing is one of the best ways to gain instant credibility, increase website traffic, build your list and get more sales. But, the only way you'll experience these results is if you stop doing article marketing the traditional way!
Here's why most of what you have been told by other so-called article marketing experts and gurus is dead wrong when it comes to writing and submitting articles online.
1. Traditional article marketing rarely results in any new traffic to your site.
Links from hundreds or thousands of unimportant article directories and sites are only going to build an army of low-quality links that do nothing for your page rank in the search engines. And it certainly will NOT bring you any more traffic. This is a mistake that tons of people are still making everyday on the web, and most of them don't even know it. They just assume what they are doing will eventually work - because that's what other experts are telling them.
2. Traditional article marketing does not establish you as an authority in your niche.
One of the biggest advantages of article marketing is that as soon as you publish your first article, you become a published writer in your marketplace. You will soon be considered an authority in your niche, which is great - but only if you are published at reputable sources. For example, my articles can be found on top websites like About.com, SiteProNews.com, MarketingProfs.com, Microsoft Community Dynamics and many more. Blasting out articles to a lot of low-quality sites makes you appear to be an amateur and not an expert, something that traditional article marketers tend to do.
3. Traditional article marketing promotes going for the quick-fix.
There are a lot of marketing "gurus" out there who claim to have the magical solution for helping you obtain thousands of links back to your site just by the push of a button. There are others who claim to have a solution for the duplicate content problem - and promote something called spinning software, which will produce several variations of an article. The problem with these "old-school" quick fixes is that article submission software results in the low-quality link. And spinning software creates articles that read unnatural. This is Not an effective way to create REAL traffic. It's a waste of your time and money not to do article marketing the right way.
4. Traditional article marketing doesn't result in dollars earned.
Traditional article marketing is all about producing content for the sake of quantity and not quality. Mediocrity is not the way to attract new business. Article marketing done right will grow into a powerful viral machine that will continuously bring you fresh new targeted traffic and qualified leads day after day. Especially, once you learn what your market wants to learn. Writing quality articles to meet those needs is like money in the bank!
5. Traditional article marketing doesn't give you a system for maximizing your article marketing efforts!
You spent time writing the article. Even if you used my article templates at StartWritingArticlesFaster to write your articles in 30 minutes - That's 30 minutes that you could have been doing something else. So why not get the most use from your articles. Getting your articles published on top websites will give you the ability to...
* Mix your social media efforts with your article marketing efforts. You can Tweet about your new article placement. You can link to the article placement on Facebook and LinkedIn. You can answer people's questions on forums and send prospects to your article for even more information.
* Get in front of your prospects face again. Send the high authority site's link with your article to your list. That's how Kevin Berchelmann received a new, mid 5-figure client!
* Enhance your credibility on your blog. You can link to your article placements from your blog and show that you are the expert. Show how you're different by getting published on a top website or online publications and not just sites like EzineArticles.com where everyone can get published as long as you follow the editorial guidelines.
* You can mention these placements in an auto-responder series. You can take the main take away lessons from your articles and turn it into an e-course. And than at the end of the day's message, link to your articles so people can get even more information from you.
* Turn your articles into videos. And, within these videos show how you're published on top websites as this will build instant credibility.

Article Marketing – A Winning and Effective Strategy to Promote Your On-line Business - By: Barb Rayner
Simply put, in order to make money you must generate traffic back to your website. One of the most proven and profitable methods is to write and distribute articles. Article marketing serves a dual purpose, not only is it cost effective it also offers exposure that will help generate sales.
Let's look at the positive power behind article marketing and see how it compensates your online business.
Credibility – Published articles help establish trust and respect from potential customers. It's not easy to trust people when they can't see you! Your online presence is felt through your articles. Your articles contain valuable information that people are seeking, if they find what they want, they in turn will trust and respect your opinion. The more articles you market, the higher your credibility becomes. Once you are fully established you become an expert in your field.
Traffic – Submitting your articles to article submission sites and online publishers can instantly draw thousands of visitors to your web site. Let me point out the obvious. If for example, your article has been accepted by a large ezine site with over half a million followers, you should experience a sizeable increase in traffic. Higher traffic converts to mores sales.
Link Popularity and Search Engine Ranking – These 2 categories go together like an old married couple! When you submit an article you are allowed to place a link back to your site, usually in the resource box at the end of the article. If you submit one good quality article to 100 submission sites you now have 100 links pointing back to your web site. Now the search engines, in particular Google, will do a crawl of the websites picking up the links that point back to your website. The more links you have, the higher you place in ranking! It's all a numbers game! Continually marketing articles will push you search engine rankings higher and eventually land you on the top page of Google!
Longevity – Do you realize your articles will remain in the search engines and on the submission sites for years? They will provide a steady stream of traffic as long as you write and submit articles on a consistent basis. More sales and money for you because you now have high traffic!
Article marketing only costs you the time it takes to write and submit. The end result is the free recurring traffic it produces. That's what I call a winning and effective marketing strategy! Be sure to include article marketing when promoting your on-line business.

Finding Long Tail Keywords - By: Paul McCarthy
Do you want to know how you can get the top spots in the search engines for guaranteed targetted traffic to your site in the next few hours? Of course you do. This article is quite ironic, actually, because I have sourced a long tail keyword to use as the title of the article so that it appears in the search engines for "Finding Long Tail Keywords". Why have I done this? Because my research shows that around 400 searches a month are done on this key phrase globally and that nobody else is really competing. It's a no brainer, grab that low hanging fruit while you can and work cleverer not harder! (I'll look like an idiot if this doesn't rank, I know!)
Why do I need long tail key phrases?
You need to understand that the mass marketing strategies of yesteryear are out of the window. The days of finding a way to hit the biggest market possible are gone. New technologies have arrived on the scene and along with them comes a new more sophisticated set of strategies that you need to be aware of.
Let me ask you a question. What would you prefer to be top for? One very popular broad key phrase that attracts thousands and thousands of hits per month, or 100 highly targetted and qualified key phrases that each only attract a couple of hundred hits?
Actually, that last question was rhetorical, because you should know the answer. A highly targetted set of keywords allows you to really understand what your prospects and potential customers are looking for when they arrive on your web site.
One of my colleagues in the internet marketing industry had a web site that was ranking top of the search engine for a key phrase. This key phrase received over 20,000 hits per month. However, another key phrase that only had 5% of the monthly search volume gave him 100% more sales. The first key phrase : "product x" (not literally but you understand where I'm going with this) and his second key phrase : "buy red product x". Now you see where I'm coming from.
So, we now understand that we want to target long tail phrases, but how do we get this information?
Well, one option is to sign up to wordtracker.com. But I wouldn't recommend it because that feeds off data from a conglomeration of search engines separate to Google. We need Google data for our research to be reliable because that's where we're trying to rank! Therefore you can try GoogleEasySearch.com, a keyword research tool built in house by the Google gurus. Finally, and my favourite of the lot, you have MicroNicheFinder.
This tool, MicroNicheFinder, is incredible for finding niches. I can literally do a quick search in MNF and find a key phrase that is uncompetitive, go to my blog and create a new post that matches the key phrase. Within a few days my articles are always top. Imagine if you did this once a day for three months - you receive incredible traffic to your blog!!
Why MicroNicheFinder? A couple of reasons. It uses Google data through the API so you know your research is as reliable as possible, you can get Google adword rates to see if Adsense campaigns would be profitable (the higher the bid, generally the higher the payout), you can check the number of backlinks to the sites with that keyphrase as an anchor AND it's got a plethora of other tools that are just really, damn useful.
Do yourself a favour and buy the software. It's paid for itself many times over for me, and I only started a month ago!
One final request, if this article isn't top for "Finding Long Tail Keywords", please link to it with the phrase an anchor!!!
Until next time, good luck with your Internet Marketing.

Leveraging Article Marketing for Continuous and Ever-Lasting Profits - By: peterpan
Do you know what the mistake that most article marketers make is? Simple: They waste their efforts.
If you're getting into article marketing, that probably means that you're churning out as many articles as you can per day, submitting them, and then possibly even building backlinks to them. That is essentially the core of article marketing itself, and your plan probably doesn't vary much from this.
What you're probably counting on is the fact that your article marketing will then channel traffic to your website, where you advertise a product, service, or something else of that like.
Does this sound familiar? It really is the most common template out there and it is what most people do with their article marketing. Unfortunately, this really isn't the best use of your time, simply because it doesn't use a single concept that is crucially important in marketing: Leverage.
Basically, what you're doing is creating a lot of informative content that then leads to someplace that you advertise something related. Great - but all that informative content that you're creating, in itself, serves only to channel traffic, which is a bit of a waste considering you're going to be doing a ton of research and spending a lot of time creating it.
What if there was a better use for that content?
With leveraging, you could do something different. One of the best examples of leveraging in action is this: Create an eBook on a certain topic, then extract and rewrite 7 pages of it as a report. Then, for each chapter of the eBook, write an article or two that covers some of the basics of each chapter.
So assuming you've created a 10 chapter eBook, you should at the end of it have that, plus a 7 page report and 10 to 20 articles.
Naturally, the articles would be used for article marketing, but the great part is that they'd be intimately related to the eBook and report too, and so you could offer the report free, and build a list from it, and then later on advertise the eBook.
Considering that the readers who read the article, subscribe to your list, and read the report probably already like what you have to offer by that stage, you then have a simple task of selling of the eBook to them!
See how leveraging your products can provide you with many different opportunities? As far as article marketing is concerned, it also means that you're going to be able to get more clear-cut and continuous benefits from your efforts.
Putting in the same amount of work, and the same amount of effort as you otherwise would, you could therefore end up with many times the returns as if you'd just carried out regular article marketing. That certainly is something to think about isn't it?
Go ahead and start trying to leverage with article marketing now. Really, there's no way you'll regret it!

Article Marketing: How the Right Headline Could Make or Break an Article - By: peterpan
Imagine you're reading an article. What is the very first thing that you're likely to read when it loads?
Yes - the headline, of course.
Headlines have always occupied a very important role in articles, and not just in recent years. Even before article marketing and the internet were even around, headlines have been playing the same role in other types of media and printed texts.
Because headlines are the first thing that a reader is going to see when they open an article, it falls squarely on its shoulders to convince the reader that they want to read the rest of the article. In other words, the headline is going to have to grab the reader's attention, and interest them enough that they keep on reading.
Should a headline not do this, then the rest of the article is likely to go unread.
From what we just discussed, you should already see that there are two key components to a good headline, and these are the simple facts that a headline must grab attention, and create interest.
Naturally, grabbing attention by itself is something that is pretty difficult at times, and so one of the best ways to approach this is to ask yourself: What is it about some headlines that allow them to grab your attention? What is it that makes you latch onto certain words and start to read certain articles?
Admittedly, the answers to this can vary greatly, but it should provide you with a starting point, and should also help you to notice that 'grabbing attention' and 'creating interest' are pretty much interlinked. After all, if something interests you it is that much more likely to get your attention, right?
One of the most commonly used (and yet tremendously powerful) approaches is to create benefit-oriented headlines. This technique is popular in copywriting, but works just as well for article writing too.
Instead of a headline that focuses on the features of the article, write headlines that focus on its benefits. For example, reading the headline to this article, you know that you're finding out how a headline could 'make or break' an article.
As such, you're immediately let in on what you're going to be learning.
Over time, you'll see that readers respond a lot better when they're told what they could be getting out of an article, rather than what it contains. Really, this is just salesmanship 101, and if you think about it, that's exactly what your headline is doing - selling your article.
Using the right type of headline, i.e. one that is benefit oriented, and stands out sufficiently from the crowd of other headlines, is going to get your article the attention that you need. By doing so, you're going to be more likely to get readers, and in the same fell stroke, your article marketing efforts are going to be that much more likely to succeed.
Isn't it amazing how a single line of text can really make or break an entire article?

Article Marketing: Unearth the Art of Triggering Human Emotions to Fuel Sales - By: peterpan
No matter how reasoned and logical a person is, the truth is that making the decision to buy something is still inexplicably tied up with emotions. People may weigh the pros and cons all they want but when someone really desires something enough, they'll find ways to convince themselves that they need it.
This is one of the most sublime realizations that any marketer could have, and it is a lesson that you could definitely put to good use.
Knowing that there is such a heavy emotional component to making sales, should lead you to another conclusion: Instead of focusing on convincing people that they need something, you should instead focus on convincing them that they truly desire it.
Once you can convince someone that they truly desire something, your job is pretty much done and they should handle the rest for you. Of course, building up this sort of desire is not the easiest thing in the world - but you should start somewhere.
1. Use powerful emotional-trigger words
Some words resonate better emotionally than others, and knowing how to use these in articles is going to make a lot of difference. For example, in our title above, the word 'unearth' is one such power word, and has been shown to convincingly outperform alternatives similar to it, such as 'discover'.
2. Put as much punch and excitement into your articles as possible
Since you're trying to evoke emotions, you're going to have to be emotional too. Really, you can't afford to sit back and hope that you hit the right emotion. Instead, being excited about something yourself, and writing as if you are, is going to make people excited in turn!
3. Use vivid and picturesque descriptions
Since you can't put pictures or videos in your articles (yet!), you're going to have to describe them in a way that really gets people to imagine what you're trying to say. To do so, you'll need every adjective that you can possibly find, and then some, to come up with vivid descriptions that really portray whatever you're trying to say.
4. Focus on all senses, not just one
Remember that people have five senses: Touch, taste, smell, sight, and sound, and be sure to focus on all 5 when you write descriptions. By providing a complete view of a product, rather than just 'what it looks like', you'll find that your readers are more likely to start to imagine what your words mean.
5. Tell a good story
Story-telling is an art as old as time itself, and using it to your advantage is something that you should learn to do. A good story can put the reader in a different frame of mind, and really trigger emotions the way few other techniques can.
Armed with these 5 techniques of triggering human emotions, you should have no trouble employing them to help fuel your sales. Create enough desire within your audience, and you'll find that you can sell practically anything you want as hotcakes!
Then, you can sit back and watch the profits roll in.

Business Marketing: Do Banners Still Work Or Is Article Marketing Taking Over? - By: Paul Wise
Banner advertising, what's that? you might ask. Banner advertising is when you create an advertisement in the form of an image, this image ad is usually about 468 pixels wide by 60 pixels tall (but sizes do vary), the image ad or banner is then placed on a related web site in the form of an advertisement for your product or service. When this banner is clicked upon it will link that interested person back to your website.
While this might sound good, this method of advertising is steadily on the decline. The click through rate has fallen tremendously and is now at the point where gaining a mere half a percent click through rate would be looked upon in a positive light. The reason for this decline is simple. Internet users are learning to overlook and ignore banners. The average internet user is looking for information and does not want the distraction of an image advertisement. Users want to get straight to the good stuff, that being the content. And while you have probably heard it a thousand times before, "content is king", and it is likely to stay that way.
So how does one effectively advertise? Let's think about this for a moment. Content is king, internet users want content, you want more internet users to come to your site. OK, so it's not that hard, you should provide content. Now wait a minute, don't think any old content will do, you need to provide something valuable, something of quality and something worth a readers time. Many business owners will outsource this type of work, as they find it to be too time consuming, and they would be right. Writing a good quality article can sometimes take hours. And let's not forget submitting that article to various article directories, that alone can take days. So again, we determine outsourcing your article marketing is a good idea, but it is important to find the right company to handle this aspect of your businesses marketing.
Here are some of the major factors you should consider when making your outsourcing decision. You will want a company that can write good quality articles. It would also be preferable to find a company that has SEO experience, that will play an important factor in how they will write your articles. You will then want that company to distribute your articles using your keyword phrases as backlinks, all on auto-pilot. Auto-pilot? you might be wondering, let me explain. So many of us order articles with the intention to submit them throughout the internet, but alas they simply sit on our hard drives due to time constraints. Having a company that handles it all on auto-pilot would certainly make a lot of sense. Lastly, we have the price, you'll want a cost effective solution without sacrificing quality. If you can find all this in a company, then you have yourself a winner.
To recap, banner advertising, while not as effective as it once was, should not be completely overlooked. With the proper ad graphics and ad placement, banners might have some positive impact on your business. As for article marketing, this currently appears to be the way to go, but only if you have the time to do it right, or if you can find a company to do it right for you.

The Number One Secret to Article Marketing for Traffic - By: peterpan
Do you know what the biggest obstacle is when it comes to article marketing for traffic? Let's face it, for the most part, what you need to do is pretty easy, and that's why many are attracted to article marketing at first.
Writing an article isn't that complicated to do, after all. Publishing that article to an article directory is just as easy too, at the end of the day.
But the problem that many people face is that even though they've published a great article to a pretty good article directory, and even though that article is getting tons of hits, those hits aren't translating into traffic!
Mainly the problem with this lies in one place: The resource box.
Within the resource box, you're given space for a few lines of text, followed by a link that leads back to your own website. That much you already probably knew. Unfortunately, due to this understanding of the resource box, most people are prone to write something like 'Click on this link now!' in their resource box, and leave it at that.
Needless to say, this is not an effective approach. If you're just going to be telling people what you want them to do, you're going to find that very few people actually follow what you say, and most simply ignore it outright.
So since 'telling people what to do' doesn't work, what does? Simple: Providing people with a good reason why they should want to do what you want them to do!
Notice the subtle difference between the two approaches. In the second, you're not telling people just to 'click here', but instead you're telling them 'click here if you want to find out the number one secret of article marketing!' or something like that.
By giving people a reason why they would want to do what you want them to do, you'll find that you're going to be getting a lot more clicks than you otherwise would. This approach that we've been discussing is known simply as: Incentives.
Giving an incentive for taking an action is one of the oldest marketing tricks in the books, and it is worth noting that your incentive can take many forms. Offering up discounts, free gifts, unique opportunities, and so on are all acceptable and effective forms of incentives.
All you need to do is choose one that suits your purposes well, and incorporate it into your articles.
Frankly speaking, the only downside of using incentives is the fact that whenever you offer an incentive, you need to be able to deliver. Not delivering on your promises is something that is going to be very detrimental and so, in a nutshell, you should make certain that you live up to your promised incentives at all times.
Use this newfound technique to your advantage, and start pulling in more traffic than you ever did before! All it takes is a few minutes to set things up right, and you'll be well on your way to successfully article marketing for traffic.

Quickest Approach to Writing Articles for Article Marketing - By: peterpan
Getting into article marketing is often viewed as a pretty daunting task. If you've looked into it before, you probably already know the basics, i.e. writing and submitting articles to article directories.
And while that sounds easy enough to some, for others, the idea of writing articles is something that is very unappealing.
Whether you intend to carry out an article marketing campaign for backlinks or traffic, the one inescapable fact of the matter is that you're going to need to be writing articles, and lots of them at that. Really, there's no two ways around this, so you might as well get used to it now.
By writing more articles, your results will be vastly improved, as each article will bring yet more traffic, and yet more backlinks, to your website. Some marketers have been known to write hundreds of articles for article marketing - and that should give you an idea of what you're getting into.
Needless to say, if you write slowly, at the rate of an article a day or something, you're going to be stuck at this for quite some time. So there's definitely a compelling reason as to why you should want to know the quickest approach to writing articles, and here's what you should do:
1. Decide on a topic
To do this, head over to article directories, blogs, and other websites that deal with the niche that you're in and get ideas. Choosing a topic this way is going to cut your work in half because you can then…
2. Extract facts from various sources
Remember: Don't plagiarize. Instead, extract facts about your chosen topic from multiple sources. If you followed step 1, you should already have these sources handy, so this shouldn't be too hard.
3. Write a great headline
Spend a little time thinking about your headline. Mull it over and try to figure out what would appeal to people and attract their attention. If you want, draft a few and then decide on one later on.
4. Clearly write about each fact that you extracted
Since you already have the facts, all you need to do now is use them, and clearly go over each one. Use a conversational tone if you can, and 'talk' to the reader. That way you'll bridge the gap even better!
5. Call the reader to action
Finally, be sure that your call to action (i.e. resource box) is well written and really seamlessly flows from the body of the article before recommending a course of action to the reader. Be sure to give your readers a reason for this, and you'll find that your results are that much better.
Simple isn't it? This approach to article writing is really not complicated, and is something that anyone can use to their advantage. With it, you'll find that you're writing articles faster and more effectively than ever before.
And thus, churning out the sheer quantity of articles that you'll need for your marketing will not be a problem at all!

Utilizing the Full Strength of the AIDA Method in Article Marketing - By: peterpan
Heard of the AIDA method before? Well, for starters, all that it really stands for is Attention Interest Desire Action, and it is really one of the most widely used writing formulas on the internet.
Honestly, you'd be surprised how far the use of AIDA has spread. Nowadays it isn't just used for articles, but is even used for basic copywriting, and pretty much anything else that would require a compelling piece of writing that is geared towards convincing the reader of a certain action.
To fully utilize the strength of the AIDA method though, you're going to need to understand what each part of its formula entails.
1. Attention
First and foremost, before you can advocate any course of action, or even start to interest a reader, you're going to have to get their attention.
Grabbing attention is an art that is key to a number of different fields, and primarily it is the focal point of the headline. Remember this always: Your headline is not just there to inform the reader what your article is about, but it is also there to get their attention right from the get go.
Most readers decide within the span of the headline whether or not they're going to keep on reading, so the importance of this cannot be stressed enough.
2. Interest
After you've successfully managed to grab attention, you need to build on that and really start to interest the reader. Due to this, the first paragraph or two of each article should be dedicated towards building an interest in the reader as to the contents of the article.
Getting this interest sorted out is relatively easy though. Ideally, your article should be about a certain topic that is, by nature, interesting, and so all that you really need to do is tell the reader what they'll obtain by reading your article.
Should the reader feel that they're going to gain something of value from your article, they will naturally be interested.
3. Desire
Note that desire and interest are two very different things. Having successfully started to interest a reader, what you ultimately want to achieve is to have them truly desiring an outcome of your choosing.
To do this, you're going to need to advocate your points strongly, and harp on the advantages and reasons why they should desire the outcome that you intend them to. Don't try to 'sell' the idea to them, so much as present it and let them come to their own conclusion.
4. Action
Finally, you are going to want to encourage action, and this means giving incentives in the form of something tangible or a really strong reason why the reader should do what you want them to.
If you've followed the rest of the method, this should be an easier prospect than it otherwise would be!
As you should see, the AIDA method is a guide that ensures that each and every essential is in place so that your articles will deliver the type of results you desire. Few other formulas compare to this one when it comes to article marketing, so be sure to use it carefully and effectively!

Top Three Reasons Why Article Marketing is a ‘Must Do’! - By: peterpan
Considering the fact that there are so many traffic generation methods out there, it is easy to perhaps concentrate on one or two and ignore all the rest. After all, as long as you're getting traffic, there really is nothing to worry about, right?
While the above philosophy isn't exactly 'wrong', it isn't entirely right either, and the truth is, there are several compelling reasons why you should definitely be starting some form of article marketing. Once you know these, you should even have a clearer understanding of what your goals with it should be too!
Here are the top reasons why you should use article marketing to your own advantage:
1. Simple and Quick Method of Building Numerous High Quality Backlinks
Today, backlinks form an important part of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and so building them up is something that practically every website owner needs to be doing. Of course, there are other techniques such as social bookmarking, that can yield a high number of backlinks, but article marketing tends to be 'longer lasting', and have greater effects.
2. Potential for Getting Highly Targeted and Pre-Sold Traffic
If used properly, article marketing could get you a ton of highly targeted traffic that is already pre-sold on whatever it is you intend to use that traffic for. For instance, if you're selling remote-control cars, you could be getting traffic that is very interested in making a purchase, and has already read an article on a certain type of car before clicking the backlink.
What this means is that those who do click the backlink are that much more likely to make a purchase.
As a marketer, this is the kind of traffic that is priceless to you, and you should definitely want as much of it as you can. Simply put: Article marketing is one of the best and most clear cut ways to get it.
3. Ability to Act as a 'Shortcut' for New Websites
One of the things that many new websites have problems with is tapping into the traffic from search engines. Sometimes, it can take months until search engines fully index and list every page on a new website.
In this, article marketing really comes up as an attractive option because it allows you to tap into search engine traffic by taking advantage of the already high attention that is given to article directories. Thus, a new website can get a lot more traffic than it otherwise would.
Based on these three reasons, you should be able to see just how powerful article marketing can be if you use it well. Whether you intend to use it primarily as a source of traffic or as a source of backlinks, the advantages that you stand to gain are still pretty clear cut.
Once you start off with article marketing, the sky is really the limit when it comes to the results that you're going to be able to obtain.

Starting to Build Up Speed When Writing Articles - By: peterpan
Do you wish sometimes that you could write articles quicker than you currently do? If you're slaving away spending hours and hours writing a single article while others churn them out in minutes, then at some point or other you're going to start wondering if you can ever compete with these super-fast article writers.
But the fact of the matter is: You definitely can compete with them!
Truth be told, every super-fast article writer started off slow, and slowly, with practice, built up their speed to the point where they're just breezing along and writing articles on a whim and fancy. So there's no reason why you can't do the same.
Of course, to accomplish this you're going to need a place to start, which is exactly what we're going to be giving you here:
1. Develop a system that works for you
If you've looked into article writing methods before, you'd have come up with a lot of answers, such as the 3-point system, the AIDA method, and so on. But the true key of writing fast articles is simple: You just need to find a system that works for you.
Experiment with as many systems as you like, but with each one be sure to develop a 'feel' for it and try to figure out whether or not you're comfortable with it. By trying out various techniques, you'll gradually find one that you're comfortable with - or even maybe combine several into your own unique style.
2. Improve your typing speed
Part and parcel of the 'trick' to writing fast articles is that you need to type as fast as you think. For some, touch typing is something that they learnt ages ago, and hence are intimately familiar with it.
For others though, and possibly in your case, you're going to need to learn how to do it.
Practice makes perfect when it comes to typing, and you should find that the more you write (or rather, type!), the faster you'll become.
3. Seek alternatives to typing
Assuming you just can't seem to type fast enough, you might even want to seek alternatives that enable you to churn out articles just as quickly and overcome your slow typing speed.
One popularly used tool is a Dictaphone, that will allow you to dictate your article, and record your words in the form of text as you do. This way, you won't have to type fast, but can just talk fast instead!
By taking these three simple steps, you should fin that you're able to vastly improve on the speed at which you turn out articles. Sure, it will take time, but seeing as you're going to be article marketing anyway, you're going to be getting a lot of practice and should get used to these techniques pretty quickly.
Once you can churn out articles faster, you'll be able to get greater results in a shorter span of time, and that is truly something worth working towards.

Exploring the Main Approaches to Article Marketing - By: peterpan
By now, you've probably already heard mention of article marketing in the past. Whether you're a beginner or a hardened expert, the fact of the matter is that article marketing is one of those techniques of internet marketing that is so popular, it's hard to not hear about it when you're in the field.
Assuming that you haven't tried your own hand at article marketing before though, you probably only have a very, very basic view of what it entails. More often than not, all that people understand about article marketing to start off with is that it involves submitting articles to article directories.
Certainly, this isn't wrong, but it is really just skimming the surface, because contrary to popular belief, there isn't just one approach to article marketing: There are two!
1. Article Marketing for Backlinks
Over the years, this type of article marketing has emerged as being an immensely popular option. As more and more search engines start to incorporate backlinks into their ranking algorithms, the necessity to continuously be building new and high quality backlinks is increasing.
So it should come as no surprise that using article submissions to get backlinks is a very useful form of article marketing.
In each article that you submit, you're allowed to have a backlink (or sometimes two) in the final part of the article. Commonly, this part is known as the resource box. Therefore, for every article that you submit, you're actually going to be gaining a backlink.
Hence the more articles are submitted, the more backlinks you gain and the better you'll do with search engines. Simple, isn't it?
2. Article Marketing for Traffic
In contrast to article marketing for backlinks, article marketing for traffic is regarded by many advanced marketers as being the more 'useful' method. To put it in easy terms, this approach uses articles to create 'streams' of traffic.
If you remember how we just talked about the backlink in the resource box of the article, well, what if the readers of that article actually were to click it? Should that happen, then you'd be getting more and more traffic to wherever that backlink points.
Of course, for this to become a reality, you'll need to convince the readers to click it, and you'll also need to take care of a number of other intricacies.
On the whole, the main advantage of using article directories in this manner is the fact that you'll be taking advantage of their existing value with search engines, and so you'll probably rank better using them than you would if you used a fresh website.
Now that we've taken you through the two main approaches of article marketing, you should definitely be able to see that there is more to it than you might've thought at first glance. Truth be told, article marketing is a powerful technique, and either one of these approaches could be used to tremendous advantage.
End of the day, all you need to do is figure out which approach is going to serve you best.

Getting Tons of Traffic From the Ideal Article Marketing Resource Box - By: peterpan
In article marketing, the resource box represents the culmination of the article. Yet, it is unfortunately ignored quite often, and even brushed off as being just a simple 'one line' link that is put at the end of the page.
Creating the ideal article marketing resource box is something that doesn't take long though, and if you do spend just a little time on it, you'll find that you're able to dramatically increase the amount of traffic that you gain from your article. Basically, you'll be maximizing your results, which is always a good thing to do.
Now to start off on the right foot, you should realize that the 'ideal' resource box is one that:
1. Provides an intuitive 'next step' in the form of a backlink
2. Convinces the reader that this 'next step' is one that is worth taking
Should you be able to accomplish both these goals, then you have the ideal resource box already. More often than not though, most articles do not fill either of them, and that's why you're going to need to go about things using the correct approach.
Really, that approach starts right before the resource box, at the tail end of the body of the article. It is here that many writers make the mistake of concluding their article, which is a big 'no no' as far as article marketing is concerned.
Instead, your article should flow into the resource box, and it should be the resource box itself that acts as a 'conclusion', albeit not one of the conventional mold.
So once your article flows into the resource box, you should continue it seamlessly and draw things together. Start to conclude your article as you normally would, by summing it up, but then put a link there that leads to your own website.
Placing a link is only the beginning though. Sure, you've provided the intuitive 'next step' but now you're going to need to explain to your readers why they would want to take that step. Most readers are going to be prone to thinking that they're done when they finished the article, but you're going to need to let them know that if they click on the link, they'll find out more, and gain something useful to them.
To get this done, the best way is to provide an incentive. Honestly, this incentive is a reason why readers would want to click on the link, and it can either be something tangible, i.e. a free report or eBook, or even just a really strong reason, i.e. 'discovering the full secret of article marketing' or something of the like.
When you pull off both of the criteria that we just talked about, you'll find that readers go through your article and read it all the way down to your resource box. There, they'll find that they stand to gain more by just clicking one simple link… and, well, that's where you have them ensnared!
Writing the ideal resource box is, as you now know, not difficult - but you stand to gain a lot by spending a minute or two on it!

Combining Social Bookmarking and Article Marketing for Compelling Results - By: peterpan
Both social bookmarking and article marketing are commonly used by marketers for a variety of purposes. Primarily, these are concentrated around the twin aims of either:
1. Increasing the amount of traffic to a website, or
2. Boosting its ranking with search engines.
Needless to say, the second aim also inadvertently ends up helping the first, which is why both social bookmarking and article marketing are such attractive options, and are so widely used nowadays.
However when you combine both of these techniques, you're going to be able to achieve far greater results than if you were to just use them individually.
Essentially, social bookmarking is primarily a form of building backlinks. Admittedly, it can be a good traffic source in its own right, but only under very special circumstances with very specific types of content. In terms of backlinks though, there are very few ways of building up a large quantity of backlinks in such a short span of time.
On these same lines, article marketing also has a similar dual purpose too, only this time, article marketing is a much more effective traffic source than social bookmarking. In fact, if used as a traffic source, it can also act as a 'pre sell' of a conversion, which makes it all the more powerful in its own right.
Due to this, the best way of combining both social bookmarking and article marketing is to let both play to their inherent strengths. In other words, article marketing should act as the traffic source, since it is good at playing that role, while social bookmarking can be used to boost the articles ranking with search engines, by building backlinks to it.
To put it simply, what you should be doing is publishing articles that are designed to garner traffic, and then once they're up on article directories, you should build social bookmarks to the article.
Do so, and you'll notice that your article is listed faster on search engines and ends up ranking higher than it otherwise would. As a result, you'll end up having more traffic viewing your article, which in turn will mean more traffic clicking on your backlink and heading over to your website.
See how this is going to multiply your traffic results by an enormous amount?
Of course, for this to work well, you'll need to be able to write articles that are convincing enough to ensure that the extra traffic you get to your article is going to be channeled to your website effectively.
But if you can pull that off, you're pretty much home free, and on the road to achieving a thorough success in terms of pulling traffic to your website.
From there on out, what you do with the extra traffic you've attained is up to you, and I you can turn those traffic numbers into profit numbers then you're going to be appreciating the full value of combining article marketing and social bookmarking!

Keywords and Article Marketing: Tap into the Traffic of Article Directories - By: peterpan
If you were to write any old article and submit it to directories, you'll probably end up finding that it isn't the stunning success that you hoped it would be. In fact, the main problem you'll have is that it seems to get few, if any, readers.
Sure, you could have really written a masterpiece that is worthy of being published in more than just an article directory, and sure, it may be the most informative and useful article on the matter ever.
But if it's not getting any readers, then it could all just go to waste.
Essentially, the reason many articles face this problem is the fact that they're not keyword-optimized. If you've encountered search engine optimization before, you'll probably know something about this, but keywords are basically just phrases that people use to search for topics on the internet.
Optimizing your article for keywords means that you've identified certain keywords that have decent popularity and low competition, then inserted them throughout your article. By doing so, every time those keywords are searched for, your article should pop up.
And thus, you're going to be able to let readers find your article!
Using keyword research tools, such as Google's Keyword Tool and Wordtracker, you'll be able to get data on the popularity of any keywords related to your topic. Furthermore, if you head to a search engine and search for those keywords, you should be able to get an idea of the competition that it has.
Armed with this information, you'll be able to decide what keywords it is best to target, and then insert them into your article. Remember though that using 1 to 3 keywords per 100 words is normally more than enough. Any more than that and you could find yourself being penalized by search engines.
Also, although keywords are important, at the end of the day your article is going to be read by real people, and so you don't want to concentrate on the keywords so much that the quality of the article itself is affected. Try to find a balance between the two, and you'll find that you're able to casually insert keywords in a manner that appears 'natural'.
Last, but certainly not least, make sure that the first four words or so of your article, i.e. your headline, contains keywords. Most search engines take this as a form of 'relevancy' and give you extra credit for it, which is definitely going to make a difference when it comes to overcoming your competition!
See, nothing too complicated right? Keywords really are something simple, but using them could make all the difference in how well your article does.
Should you target the right keywords, and use them as we just prescribed, you'll find that you're able to get tons and tons of readers to your article, and from there, do with them as you please.

Generate More Traffic with Article Marketing - By: Daniel Richmond
Article marketing is considered to be an ideal way through which you can generate more traffic to your website. So you want to start off by writing relevant and effective articles. Article marketing can play a major role when it comes to promoting your website. However, prior to taking up your challenge to get more traffic, you need to have a sound knowledge about everything related to article marketing. To be more specific, you need to have a fair knowledge on everything from writing to submitting your articles to the popular article directories.
The article directories have their personal set of instructions that you need to keep in mind while writing an article. Make sure you follow their rules when writing articles to get traffic to your site. This helps to effectively promote your articles and it helps to get your articles approved. Getting your article listed in the major article directories is one of the most effective methods that will help you get a good page rank for your website.
Please take into consideration the following strategies of writing a well-informed and relevant article:
1) The most important thing to do before you submit your article to a directory is to READ THEIR EDITORIAL GUIDELINES. You can have an article written on the most popular subject, but if you fail to follow their guidelines, your article will not be accepted.
2) Make sure you submit your articles to as many directories as possible. The more directories you submit to the more back links you will have pointing to your site. And as result, your page rank and traffic should increase over time.
3) Make sure that you submit your site to a relevant category in the directories. Don't forget, you are writing your articles to give people information. People will be come frustrated if they search a particular category for information only to find articles that are totally unrelated to that category.
4) In order to get a significant amount of visitors, make sure that your articles are unique, informative and are written by you. Try writing a well structured article with a proper introduction, body and conclusion. Pay close attention to your grammar, paragraph format and spelling. If you fail to heed these tips, most of your articles will not be approved.
5) Make sure you add a few of your keywords to your article. This helps the search engines to determine how relevant your content is in regards to the category in which your article appears. CAUTION: Do not just populate your article with too many keyword hoping that this will improve your search engine ranking. Don't forget, you are writing for real people who will be reading your article. Placing too many keywords in an article will be annoying to readers and in some cases, your article may not make sense.
6) The majority of article directories do not allow any html codes in the body of the article. So do not try to sell your reader anything by placing a website url in the body of the article. You will be given a chance to sell whatever it is that you are selling in the Author's Resource/Bio section.
7) The Author's Resource/Bio section is placed at the end of each article. This is where you are given a chance to write a brief bio of yourself. This consists of a couple sentences telling the reader about yourself such as, your qualifications on the subject you are writing and telling them your name. You'll also be able to add a link or two that will link back to your site. This link back to your site is the back link and this is how you will get traffic to your site as people reading your article may click on it if they find your article interesting and relevant. This is also what the search engines look for when counting the number of relevant links that are pointing to your site.
After your articles are approved and published online, you will find that the traffic to your website will increase over time. So in conclusion, all you need to do is follow the tips above and soon traffic to your site will increase and hopefully so will your sales.

Article Marketing Offers Free Online Exposure - By: Phyllis Zimbler Miller
Article marketing is writing informative articles on a specific info niche and placing these articles around the Internet for other people to use for free (without contacting you) on their blogs and in their newsletters, ezines, etc.
Yes, you write informative articles for free and then people throughout cyberspace can use your articles for free as long as your author bio box (also known as the resource box) is used at the end of the article.
Here's how this marketing strategy works:
You want, for example, to be known as the person who is an expert in training Dalmatians. And you have a Web site from which you sell a series of ebooks on different aspects of training Dalmatians.
Why should anyone trust that you know what you're talking about?
Now imagine that you've written several short articles on tips for training Dalmatians. You haven't given away everything you know, but you have shared some valuable information. And you submitted these articles to online article directories such as submityourarticle.com and ezinearticles.com and as guest posts on blogs focused on dogs and dog training.
Your author bio includes a link to your Web site as well as presenting your dog-training credentials. You can also use your author bio to offer a free report available on your Web site.
Now when the editor of a dog training ezine picks up an article of yours from an article directory and then publishes your article in his/her ezine, you and your business have just been exposed to a target market you may never have otherwise reached. And you've been presented as an expert in this field!
Of course, as with probably everything else on the Web, there are strategies that can make your article marketing more effective. Such strategies include keyword-rich headlines and first paragraphs as well as writing numerous articles. The wider exposure you'll have online the more articles you write.
If you're wondering how you can ever find time to do yet one more marketing activity, you need to realize that article marketing actually builds on other marketing activities. For example, you may have content on your Web site that can be revised into one or more articles. Or you may have written a speech that can be revised into articles.
The most important elements of good article marketing are using your own original content and providing value to your target markets.
Bonus tip: And make it easy for people to read your articles by having short paragraphs and using subtitles where appropriate.

Article Marketing - A 9th Grader Could Do It! - By: Eric Hendrix
All the buzz these days is about “Article Marketing”. How long-term traffic can
be derived from doing it. looking for
Anyone can do it.
The theory is: you write articles and submit them to an article sites and you get traffic from those sites. That is it in it's simplest form.
Alright, yes, there is more needed to do.
The key thought to writing articles for building traffic to your site is for the
“Backlink”. If you have not heard this label it is specifically a link in the article
that hyperlinks back to your page so the readers of the article can click it
and be transported to your page. So the number of backlinks you have the better
your pagerank is on search engines.
It is like having a Golden Keyboard. Time and Effort is your only
investment for your "Free Gold".
You may be looking at this and thinking, I can’t write articles, I'd stink at writing articles. I have not the talent for that type thing.
You are not going to have to write a novel. You do not have to write on a
MENSA level to do well in this arena.
What would be a sufficient quantity of articles or backlinks?
I could just say more then the other guy/gal and be done with it. Yes, in a nutshell that is the answer, and keywords can play into this as well.
So you have targeted the number one page of MSN. You need only create backlinks over that of the competition. Taking your rightful place at the top of the heap.
Of course he/she could be checking out the rankings and see he/she lost the top
slot and add more backlinks to take it back. Do you have a better understanding at this time?
On to another aspect of Article Marketing and that is the number of the same article on the web. You really want to avoid doing the exact copy for each directory.
So does this mean you have to write a separate article for each and every site to Well, you could, and as you know that could take a very long time. There has got to be a better way.
Read on my friend, read on.
Automaticaly have your article on 100+ directories with the press of a button. These packages may not be exactly what you are looking for to address the copy aspect of article writing.
You will see there are those offering a simalar feature such as "Spinning". able to submit different articles to directories.
To save you tedius work some offer push-buton registration.
Automatic tasks are a great feature in this venue.
The choices are many but I think there is one that really stands out. I have researched quite a few of these so called article writing packages. but they only have one or two features they really focus on and really is not as effective as the one I use.
I am going to guess you have interest in what I recomend. I really do not expect to get a whole lot of rivalry by doing this.
An exceedingly low number of you will see the real value of this software. Even less will use it to the maximum capability.
This is so sad, wouldn't you agree? The truth is stranger than fiction, as they say.
Canges made to your advantage can be had. I think I'll save that for another article.

Article Marketing: 4 Major Points to Apply to Rank High - By: Kenny Gregg
What is Article Marketing?
From the word itself, it clearly explains it all. It is a way of marketing by utilizing the power of articles. Article Marketing has been a great tool for many marketers in the industry. It remains as one of the great tools used by marketers to draw their target to their respective website. It is really an effective and low-cost website promotion tool.
The use of article marketing as a strategy has been widely utilized by marketers. Due to this, there are so many articles being published on the web. Thus, it results for readers to be confused which to read. So, to capture the interest of your target, your articles should possess some kind of qualities that will captivate the attention so as to attract the interests of the readers.
Below are some important things to give an eye in article marketing:
" Make sure to have a great title
- It is very essential to have a title that is attention catcher. This is the first thing that the reader will see so it should appear as an attention grabber. If your title appears to be boring then the reader would think that the content is also boring. Tell the reader straight to the point what will they get from your article.Your title should also match the content of your article to attract more readers and be ranked high.
" The content has to be informative and free from errors
- Follow the rules for writing high-quality web articles. State important information first.Create subheadings that are competent. If you point out in the title that you will state 5 points or tips then do it. You can outline your major points and then explain it thoroughly in a single paragraph. Don't make your content too long. You don't want your readers to be bored, right?
" Don't forget to indicate your Resource Box
- It is important to have a resource box because this is where you get to sell your service or product. It should contain your name, website address, contact numbers and a couple of sentences stating what you can offer. You may also include a call to action which aims to get your readers to your site to join, sign-up or buy something. It indicates what you want your reader to do.
" Article Site Directories
- There are different article site directories to where you can submit your article. Using article directories that are free to post is one great option. This is helpful to gain more exposure and credibility. Let me remind you that there are so many marketers who are also submitting their own works. So if you just post to one or two article directories, chances are, your existence will hardly be noticed. You should also spin your articles so it will appear different in every directory which will then bring more exposure.
The points stated above are helpful guidelines that can be applied by any marketer who is serious in using article marketing as a tool for his web promotion. Therefore, writing articles just for the purpose having articles is not enough to get Instead, a well written article guided by rules is needed.

Case Study: Article Marketing As A Marketing Strategy - By: mdsarch
On September 30, 2009 I committed to an article marketing strategy. Develop more traffic to my website, www.MLM-ExplodeYourLeads.com, by writing and submitting one new article everyday for 100 days and thus generate more leads. We are just under 1/3 of the way through the campaign and a good time to review how we are doing and see if we need to make any adjustments. Lets look at the steps done to reach this point.
What are the steps in using Article Marketing as a Market Strategy? Write one article, original article, and post it on your main website. A video was made of each article announcing it to world and posted on YouTube (Channel IAmOneAverageJoe). There are other video sharing sites and would take a lot of time to upload them individually; so I suggest you use an uploading service such as TrafficGeyser. Multiple versions of the article were created using Article Submitter and upload to over 200 different article directories. You can post the article on your blog to increase its exposure and drive more traffic. Total time committed to this low cost marketing strategy is 3 hours per day. Not bad since you have mre time than money in the beginning, but what do the results show for it?
We started with three articles post on our MLSP article site and we had 14 visitors to the site in the 25 days. More importantly no leads were generated from the marketing strategy. As of October 24, 2316 different people had viewed my articles on the website. WOW! That is what I call traffic - a 16,000% increase in unique visitors to our site. Who wouldn't want that? Seven leads were added to my email list. My YouTube channel has seen 550 views of the various videos that have been uploaded. We did not fair very well in the Google search engine. Google search results had no articles or videos for any keywords we used. Lots of information but what do we do with it?
We draw the following conclusions: article marketing is a slow process that takes a commitment to perform all the steps in the marketing strategy. A great low cost method to increase traffic to your sites. The number of visitors to our MLMLeadSystemPro website has show an increase (16,000%) over the last 25 days. Our traffic was also helped by uploading videos to video sharing sites. The traffic videos, while good, could be better. The YouTube channel only gets a few views per day right now. The Google search results need to be better and that will require additional training on keywords and subject matter. Additonal training in keywords will be needed to improve our rankings. Using more specific keywords (long tail keywords) to narrow the focus will result in better search results.
Has article marketing been worth the time required as a marketing strategy? Yes! At the end of the day we wanted more traffic and more prospects. More traffic is visiting my site that I paid less than $50 per month (monthly fee for the video upload service). Article marketing is like a snowball that you psh down hill. It will take a little while for the leads to start but once they do it will get bigger everyday. The increase in traffic is more than even 14 days ago. That is simply because of the number of articles. At the sixty day mark we will have over 60 articles and we will track the daily increase in the traffic to compare. The commitment was for 100 days and I will stick with it to see how the final numbers work out. I will check back woth you in thirty-days.

Article Marketing In Four Easy Steps. - By: Victor Rival
Hello friends, I'm really excited about article marketing. I wrote a short article some weeks ago introducing David Wood's tecniques on how to use article marketing to generate 30 to 50 leads per day. This article is to show you how to get started with article marketing right now.
Without a doubt article marketing is a strongmarketing tactic that will get you bak links and trafic to your blogs and lead capture pages. Pay close attention to your niche with strong keywords and backlinks you will see yoour blogs and websites get more exposure and get indexed higher in the search engines. This will insure your long term success.
It's the most cost effective way to to drive targeted organic visitors to your website. Anyone can write good article with good content, you do not have to be an expert. It just requires consistent effort to establish yourself as a leader and an authority in the industry you are focused on. Over time you will build trust with your following audience.
Once you write an article, there are many places where you can distribute your content online. You can spend time on the internet looking for high ranking article sharing website or you can have your article outsourced through article distribution sites. Outsourcing your articles is very inexpensive and adds massive leverage, I highly recommend it if you are willing to spend $20-$100 dollars a month.
The 4 Step Article Marketing Formula
Step1 - Define Your Target Prospect: You need to be specific and focused about what you are writing. The more define and specific you are, the better you will be at attracting the target audience to your website. The more closely you can define your target audience or market, the more people will relate and follow your articles. Do not write and article aimed at pleasing everyone, you can fail on attracting anyone this way.
Here is a few list of questions that can help you define your target audience:
1. What obstacles are they facing?
2. What is their meaning of success?
3. What do the want out of life?
4. What are their personal and professional goals.
5. What do they do for a living?
6. What publicity tactic are they looking to learn?
Step 2- Choose the best keyword phrases. Articles get the best result on search engines. Yahoo, MSN, Google. It's crucial to optimize each article with keyword phrases. This is called long-tailed keywords. Make the subject of the article using the keyword phrase relevant to your target audience. It's not necessary to over use too many keywords.
Step 3 - Select Your Article Topic: Select a topic related to the keyword phrase. You can do this by writing down 6 concerns you had before you joined or started promoting your current product or business. Then follow them by the solutions that your current product or business offers. You now have 6 article topics to write about.
5 Types of Articles:
1. A Training or How To Article (Like This One)
2. A Problem & Solution Article
3. A Review Article
4. A Story or Personal Experience Article
5. A Compare & Contrast Article
Your readers will have the same challenges with you , witting about their concern, they will fell like the articlewas written just for them.
Step 4- Write your article: Article writing is simple, don't focus on perfection. It's important to make your articke informative, short, and fun. In the beginning it's a little challenging, but in a few weeks you will master it. Just get started and before you know it you will be writting articles in 30 minutes.
Here are some tips that can help:
1. Create a short list of 3-5 key point you want to cover in your article.
2. Explain each key point with 3-5 sentences.
3. The key points will be the first sentence of each paragraph.
4. The body will be the remaining 2-4 supporting sentences of your paragraph.
Very important not to pitch your product or opportunity through your article. It's purpose is not to "close a sale", it is just an informative tool that should compel your audience. If they like what the read they will click on your link on the resource box or bio on the bottom or your article. Believe me the process will take care

Article Distribution - a Viable Marketing Strategy or a Worthless SEM Tactic? - By: Rob Ferrall
It goes by a few of different names -- article marketing, article distribution, and article directory submission. In some circles, it is purported to be a low-cost, high-return search engine marketing (SEM) tactic whereas in others it's regarded slightly above spam, and considered just as effective. While the online opinions vary significantly, there's no denying that thousands, if not tens of thousands, of articles are distributed online every single day in search of the coveted backlink. So, who's right? Is article marketing worth the investment, or is it nothing more than wasted effort on spam-like activity?
Consider the facts
When a person uses article marketing, or submits an article to article directories, they usually have one goal -- increasing the number of links that point to their website. While there are other uses for article distribution, boosting a website's link popularity is the predominant goal of the practice. Search engines use links in their various algorithms; they discover new website and web pages by following links, and some search engines, like Google, rely on links to help them determine the keyword relevancy, and value, of a particular web page.
So, article marketing is the practice of increasing the number of links that point to a website, and search engines rely on links heavily to find new websites and pages, and also use links to determine the keyword relevancy, and therefore rankings, of a particular web page for a specific keyword. Taking these points at face value, article marketing is absolutely a worthwhile tactic for website owners who want to promote their website online.
Differences of opinion
There are a couple of arguments on the 'article marketing is worthless' side of the field:
Widespread article distribution creates 'duplicate content', thus diminishing the benefits of an article marketing campaign
Article directories have been penalized due to significant amounts of duplicate content, thus backlinks from article directories themselves are either worthless or worth less than the same links from a blog or website.
While both of these arguments have merit, you can hardly convince a website owner who is experiencing increased search engine traffic, better search engine rankings, and more targeted visitors through article marketing that his or her tactics do not work. Article submission is like many other things -- there are right and wrong ways to go about it, and if you go about it the wrong way, you'll probably tend to believe the SEO gossip that is prevalent on the internet about it.
Acknowledge the reality
While article marketing can provide excellent results in some situations, even as a standalone marketing tactic, the results from an article marketing campaign can vary wildly from website to website. If you're promoting a website that caters to a 'niche' market, targets lower-competition keywords or long-tail keywords, article marketing will probably do you some significant good, even if you only submit a few articles. However, if you're trying to promote a website targeting generic, high-competition keyphrases like 'auto insurance', 'web hosting', or the like, you might be disappointed with the results of your article marketing campaign, even if you invest a lot of time, or money, into article submission.
Getting the most out of article marketing
Article distribution can be an effective, and even profitable, website marketing tactic. Here's how you can get the most bang for your buck while using article submission as a website promotion strategy:
Be sure your website is optimized for search engines - a little mentioned fact about article marketing is that it enhances your website's on-page optimization efforts.
Alternate your article links - don't just link to the same page during an article marketing campaign, and don't just use the same anchor text for the exact same links, for each and every submission. Instead, link to your home page, appropriate internal pages, and vary the anchor text for maximum results.
Realize that mass-distribution is not always more effective than limited distribution article marketing - submitting to 300 article directories will not necessarily produce better results than submitting to 10 popular article directories. If an article submission package is cheap, it probably won't hurt you, but don't expect wide distribution to give you exceptionally better results than limited distribution.
Article marketing can be an effective website marketing strategy in the right situations. While it's not the perfect, all-powerful website promotion option that some proclaim it to be, it certainly can make a significant difference in a website's online visibility in many situations.

LSI: Latent Semantic Indexing and Article Writing - By: Pete Nisbet
Latent Semantic Indexing, otherwise known as LSI, is an integral part of Google’s search engine algorithm that determines not only the listing position of your web page in the Google search engine results pages, but also whether or not it will be listed at all.
Right off, let me first say that nobody can produce LSI-compliant content: there is no such thing, because LSI is a concept connected to the analysis of text strings in order to determine their true meaning. It is properly referred to as latent semantic analysis (LSA), although Google uses the term latent semantic indexing because it is being used to index your web pages.
However, you can use the general sense of the concept in respect of the way you write the content of your web pages, and your use of contextual relevance to the search term being used by Google users seeking specific information. In explaining how this is done, therefore, I do so with apologies to the purists of LSA who correctly claim that a web page cannot be LSI-compliant or that LSI can be used to improve your on-page SEO.
Let me explain the meaning of contextual relevance by giving you an example. It is a simple example, and perhaps contrived, but it does explain the concept, and also how you can apply it to improve the listing position of any web page you apply it to. We shall consider a Google user seeking information on ‘how to write’.
How to write what? Check up any keyword analysis tool you wish to use, and you will find that the keyword ‘how to write’ is a very popular one, and it is very easy to use it as the main keyword in a web page on writing. In fact a keyword used by you on your website is no more than a means of you informing search engines of the topic of your web page, and is hopefully the same as the search term being used by the search engine user.
However, the question is ‘how to write’ what? The visitor might be seeking information on how to write novels, articles for directories, web page content or even newspaper or magazine articles, and each of these require a different approach and objective when writing them. What the concept of LSI does is to look at the text in close proximity to the keyword and use that to determine its meaning. Thus, ‘newspaper’, ‘novel’. ‘web page’, ‘submission’ for example, can all be used in latent semantic indexing to index your page in the correct category, so that the pages presented in the SERPS give the search engine users the results relevant to their inquiry.
The search engine’s true customer is the person using it for its intended purpose - to carry out a search. You are not Google’s customer, and neither are all those advertisers using Adwords, because without the person carrying out the search Google would not exist. Google’s use of LSI makes sure the company is providing its customers with as good as service as it can.
My website offers different examples of contextual relevance, such as how the keyword ‘the history of locks’ can one of three different things that could not be distinguished by keyword-stuffing. The same is true of the term ‘German Shepherd’ another commonly used example. Are you seeking information on dogs or how Germans look after their sheep? Is an Alsatian a dog or a person?
Google had initially been using the concept of semantic analysis (‘semantic’ refers to the meaning of words) in their Adsense program, where it was used to determine the type of adverts to place on users’ web pages according to the topic of the page. However, people began making thousands from Adsense by automatically generating pages of meaningless text into which any keyword could be inserted and make sense to the reader, thus:
"Information on KW can be found all over the internet, KW being the subject of many online searches. There is a large number of websites providing information on KW, and an equally large number of people using KW as their keyword in their Google search."
That’s just a brief example, but you could use any keyword you can think of as ‘KW’, and entire web pages would be generated by software designed simply to enter a keyword of your choice in place of KW. Many of these sites received top listings because the algorithms were predominantly keyword orientated, and endless repetition of a keyword would almost guarantee a high listing. I did it myself: I would have a list of 5,000 keywords generating 5,000 single page-minisites from one template. You don’t need many clicks to add up the Adsense income from that many pages.
Google stopped it all with LSI. They applied the concept of latent semantic indexing used in their Adsense program to their search engine algorithm, and overnight websites with no text related in context to the keyword were dropped. People’s income was decimated and their businesses destroyed - and probably rightly, although they hadn’t set the rules that had applied, just took advantage of them.
Thus, to be listed for ‘article writing’, you would have to make it clear what type of articles and what type of writing you were referring to. With the shepherd, you would have to mention sheep or Alsatians or use some means of making it clear what the topic of your content was. That’s LSI in action, and while most people are still unsure what latent semantic indexing really means, and use the term wrongly, if you write your content naturally you should be just fine.

Article Directories Support Article Marketing - By: Chris Robertson
If you have a website, you want people to find it, especially if it's a commercial site. Search engine optimization (SEO) is the practice of connecting your website to search engines. Searchers find websites on their topics by using keywords to search the search engines. Since they usually click on the first two pages of search engine results, the higher your website is on returns the more likely it is that people will link to your site. There are many ways to improve the SEO of your website. Publishing content-rich articles on your site - called article marketing -- is one way to improve your ranking, add to your visitors, and grow your business. You can find such articles in article directories.
Anyone can submit articles to article directories. Website owners may write and submit articles or they may hire professional writers to do so. Some article directories offer free article submission. Article directories typically syndicate articles and submit them to search media sites such as Digg, Reddit, Delicious, and Technorati.
Once you submit an article, another website owner may decide to publish it on her or his site. That helps you because at the end of each article there's a link to your site. If someone reads an interesting article on antique swords, for example, and wants to learn more, they can link to your antique sword site from the article. Not only do you get a new visitor to your site, you also improve your search engine ranking by adding to the number of inbound links.
While different article directories have different standards for the articles they will accept, it's really the standards of the major search engines that matter. Search engines are so technologically sophisticated they can tell good articles from bad ones; only articles that meet search engine standards will drive traffic to your site.
Search engines look for articles that are well written, grammatically correct, full of interesting and useful content, and original (not plagiarized).
Article directories are not only sites for publishing articles; they are also sites for buying articles or finding free articles. If you have a website on model trains, for example, you can find articles related to model trains that you can publish on your website. Why would you want to do that? Because it improves your SEO so people who share your interest in model trains are more likely to find your site.
When you buy or get free content from article directories, it's important to make sure the articles meet the criteria listed about for search engine articles. Plus, it is particularly important that articles on your sites are relevant to the subject of your site.
Article directories serve many purposes. For one, they allow you to establish yourself as an author. They also provide content to publish on your website or in your ezine or newsletter. They help to improve the search ranking of your website. Article directories facilitate article marketing, which is a key technique for marketing your website and your products and services on the Internet.
